A buddy of mine has an 04 and the truck will not even try to fire off. He has changed the lift pump and the cp3 pump with in the last week and still nothing. he has pulled the codes off the truck and cleared them and it does not help. Any idea's on what else to check?? I think he is going to take into the dealer monday to get them to run a diagnostic check on it. Thanks, Cody

 

Have you tried to verify fuel pressure with a gauge? Is the pump turning on? Start with that for sure!

 

Yeah he said he checked fuel pressure from the lift pump. The Cp3 is a reman from industrial i sent him. The truck is about 3 hrs from me so have been just talking to him on the phone back and fourth.

 

Bummer, that sucks. since its all been apart, has he cracked lines and whatnot to be sure that there isnt a huge air pocket?

 

Yeah i know he has messed with this truck all weekend and i think he is so frustrated he is just about to call it quits and take it to the dealer.

 

Lots of posts/threads about a bad injector or injectors causing issues.Lots of reading on the subject recently.Use the SEARCH function of this site about no start etc.

 

What were the codes??????? Can't help without those.

 

I don't know he read them off to me but i did not write them down. I think he said he is going to take into the dealer today.

 

I'd wager bad injector(s). We'll stand by and see.

Not yet. I still haven't put in that 1 new injector that I have. Seems I got so used to giving her a shot of ether, I don't much think about it anymore.......although I know I should, and will. I still have a hunch it's #1, but I will play leapfrog with the new injector if I have to. I almost did it this weekend since it was like summertime. Ahhhhh, maybe this weekend.
