OK i am thinking about getting a quadzilla x-2 programmer for my truck.
Is there anything i should do or make sure my truck is good to handle the extra HP levels? my truck has 106k on it.

I did a search and didn't really find much, maybe i am not good at searching?

Any help or tips would be great.

I would say to keep an eye on your clutch and you will be ok. Add a pyro and fuel pressure gauge and you will be set.

I know they are different creatures, but I put a ZXT+ on a friends 01 CTD and it was ok until we put a low fueling calibration in it. The clutch started to go downhill quickly from there.

I had Crazy Larry on my truck for 15k and the stock clutch looked great when I pulled it to upgrade. Driving habits is the big deciding factor for clutch life.

 

Just take it easy when you get it. I have not had any problems with my truck (knock on wood) and I am pretty hard on it with no mods to the fueld system or drive train.
