04 Dodge 3500 LWB 5.9 Cummings

What would be a good price for a pampered 04 Dodge 3500 (non-dully) 2WD, LWB? A very clean truck inside and out with excellent preventive maintenance. A friend maybe selling it and I am thinking of buying it. It has around 85,000 miles on it with not heaving towing.

If its has a Cummins I would guess around 20k, check your area, look for comparable models, prices differ all over the country. Around here you would have trouble giving that truck away cause its 2wd

Kelly Blue Book list $17,700 for the truck with a 4WD. Yes, it is an Commings. The truck only sold new for around $25,000.

Best thing is to compare truck prices in your area. Autotrader.com, craigslist etc.. These trucks do pretty good on resale value so you cant always go by what it sold for new. I will say the 2 wheel drives around here sale for considerably less than a 4x4. Seems not many want these trucks in a 2x4.

And its Cummins, no g at the end.

I sold my 2004 2wd 3500 dually for $18,000 about a year ago. It had only 23,000 miles, was leveled with Alcoa 22.5's, and was truck of the month here in Sept '08. It was in show quality, but being 2wd, was not easy to sell. It took about three months to sell. I started at 22K and did not get any interest at all. I ended up selling it to a guy in Memphis, Tn who saw it on the forum.

In 2008 a friend was hauling 2007 trucks up to Canada from Texas and was getting them for between 12 and 16K. Probably repos

I really appreciate all the information. We were thinking of adding another Dodge diesel for our own driving. I wanted my wife in a larger vehicle. I was going to let her have our 06 Dodge Cummings 2500 and I was going to take the 04 Dodge Cummings 3500. I really don't know if that is a good idea or not.

"Cummings?"

If it has the "Cummings" engine in it, isn't it a Ford?
