water puddle!

Hey i'm new to the forums, i just got a 02 3500 CTD, love it! however, the other day a buddy of mine spilled a drink on the passengers side floor mat, so i took out the floor mat to clean it and noticed a big puddle under the floor mat. I thought this was odd because he didnt spill all that much, but i cleaned it up anyways and didnt think much of it.

a few days later i checked to make sure it was fully dry and noticed the puddle was back, i put my hand in it and it was water. I had been running the AC so i figured there is a hose or something that's come loose and it's running into the cab. Whats weird is that the up sloped part of the floorboard is dry at the front, maybe the water is running under the carpet and not getting it wet until the _sump_ of the floorboard?

i dried the puddle, didnt run the ac for a few days, and its still dry! so i'm assuming that it's the condensation buildup or something from the AC

do you guys have any idea whats causing this? or how to fix it? I looked under the truck and under the hood and i couldnt see any hoses or anything.

sorry if that was long winded

thanks in advance

Long story short with our Durango, same thing. Ended up being the plastic box around the compressor was cracked, 3 dash removals later it was fixed. First the dealer said it was plugged drain tube so check that first. The first replacement dealer box was cracked in the same place, another dash removal. Wish I could give you the exact part name, I'll go look at our dealer receipts and edit if I find the part.

yeah, check the drain tube, then look at your 3rd brake light. water leaks in around there and always winds up on the passenger side floorboard.

sounds like the ac drain is plugged. I used a wet vac and vacumed the drain clear and then install a half inch X 3 inch rubber hose to the drain and problem solved. If not then check third brake light.

Same thing here. Simple fix for the most part. Get a hunk of 1/2 inch hose, about 2 feet long. Any kind, doesn't matter. Slide under the truck on the passenger side. Find the small drain tube sticking out. Shove the hose onto the drain tube and tie the other end down to the frame somewhere.

Now for the hard part. You gotts get that water dried up or it will stink. I had so much that I had to take my carpet out and let it dry.
