Puddle under fuel tank.

Hi guys,

I have a puddle under the fuel tank every time I drive the truck. If it idles the puddle is larger, if I just stop and turn it off, or just start (wait for oil pressure ) and go it is smaller.

Any ideas??

Re:Puddle under fuel tank.

Sounds like the return line to the tank is leaking. The fittings are on top of the tank. Check there.

I had a leak from my fuel tank and found that the fuel lines out of the tank had rusted out. The part that rusted is part of the fuel gauge sender, fuel pick up, fuel return, and fuel tank vent and was not replaceable as an individual part. I had to modify the fuel lines and coble up some new lines to install.

I can send you some pictures of what I did if you find that yours is leaking for the same reason.
