Touchy high/low beam switch

On my 1999 Ram 3500, sometimes my low beams will not come on untill I tap the hi/low switch lever?

Any help greatly appreciated.

Also, the road lamps both do not work. I haven't checked the bulbs yet, as I didn't think both would burn out at the same time.

Cheers

Thanks

Peter

ps. Had the Drag Pak out this weekend 9.90/133mph for a pretty cool ride.

I would replace the multifunction switch. Sounds like a classic beginning to fail scenario.

Some of the time you can prolong the life of the switch with a good cleaning with electrical contact cleaner. You have to get the cleaner down inside with the little tube the comes with it ,. spray into the switch and work it a few times. Having said that I bought a replacement for mine to keep in the storage box to replace mine when it goes.

I changed out the switch, all is well.

Found some hot spots on the old one.

New Borg Warner piece was about $80. New Dodge one was $140.

Guess which one I used, lol.

Once again, THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR THE INPUT!
