Daytime running lights-use Hi beam or low beam
I am doing some work on my headlights and want to know what filament the daytime running lights use-the Hi beam or the low beam.
I'm not near my truck at the moment-and thought someone would know from previous experience.
Cheers!

^^^^^ What he said.
Canadian trucks use highbeam filament at a reduced voltage. Theory being that high beam usage is much less than low beams. If one does burn out you would still have both low beams for nightime use.

Personally I would leave the stock headlights alone and go with LED's for DRLs. That's where the auto manufacturers are heading.
And the LEDs are not that expensive.
