Tire talk.
So I have been a loyal toyo m55 user for the last 8 years. These tires ware like iron and hold up to the highway abuse and severe abuse on the ranch and heavy loads. Well I got a smoking deal on some goodyear wrangler mts with the kevlar side walls in a 10 ply tire. I am going from 265 to 285 75 16 what's every ones opinion? These tires only have 3000 miles on them and the truck was not a daily driver so the nubs are barely wore off picked them up for 500 bucks.

We run a similar Goodyear on our hemi powered 2500 at work. They ride good and hold up pretty well. I wouldn't pass up your deal if I needed new tires.

In this economy I take what comes my way.
Good tire from a good name company. I find Goodyears to not last quite as long as the others, but offer good traction and wear.
The price is right and a "D" rating will carry more than the truck is rated for (around 5000# a corner) so I wouldn't worry too much about that.

I also have used M-55s for a long time but a couple years ago switched to Toyo HT tires.
They aren't as aggressive as the 55s but that's what makes them better.
I had them siped, they work excellent on snow and ice, are much quieter than the 55s and look like they'll easily last over 100k miles.
