throttle position sensor

throttle position sensor

should the throttle position sensor be coverd under the 100k engine warranty ??
Mine has gone out at 56k and am bein told by the dealership that its gonna be 400 dollars to replace does this sound right or am i getting hosed ...

apps is NOT covered by the engine warranty.

just got the call from dealership 435 dollars for one sensor i think i have been robbed

I'm preaty sure I paid around $360 for mine from a local dealer.

If you were putting it on the truck(2000 model) in your signature the warrenty should be up. 5 years or 100,000 miles.

yeah this is an 02 with 60 thousand miles underwarrenty they just said it wasnt coverd oh well only thing i picked it up and all the check engine light is off but the codes are still there should i still be worried that its not fixed

You could take it back and get them to clear codes or stop by a local auto-parts place like autozone and see if they can clear the codes with a scanner.
