Replacement pads

Recommendations for replacement pads? Just peaked at selections....wow. What works well? I'm not racing truck on street. Just your normal daily driver.

Thanks

The middle price range is usually best for general use , the cheapest are soft - will not last & they fade , the expensive may be too hard -short rotor life .
More often than not , use a know brand name , if you never heard of them , do not use .
Geno's Garage is a good source of known products , they sell what users praise , parts house's mostly sell what makes them the most profit .
Napa has had a history of using know good products , but they will have available some cheap stuff .

For the first time in years, I had brakes done on my Kia car by a shop. They installed Napa lifetime pads and turned the rotors. My braking is the worst ever, the pads don't seem to grab properly. I always used the Autozone midpriced pads and was happy, may have to replace the ones I have now again. I hate letting shops to work on my vehicles. Every time I get disappointed.

Hawk Performance HTS are best by far.
Get them at www.genosgarage.com or www.tirerack.com

I would think that life time pads are harder / grab less , softer grab more .
Then a brake in procedure is not done by many , including shops .
Because of the verity of products out there I would go by the manufactures directions , rather than a one fits all .

I used genuine Dodge pads - boy, do they squeal - thinkin' 'bout puttin' that goop on the pads 'stead of the backsides - somethin's gotta give, I can't stand squealin' brakes

I went with the Napa semi-metalics (mid-range) and have been very happy so far (1000K). Much less brake dust in the past.
