Thanks. I know exactly what you mean about broke....when I went to Vale Tech [now Wyotech] I was a broke man. I got a job working for the school cutting grass & upkeep just to buy beer & pay the rent. That sucked!!!

 

I found some surface rust on my rh front door. It was hiding, but I found it while sanding. I sandblasted the lower door & peeled the door skin back, then sandblasted inside also. Then I reattached the door skin with door skin adhesive & cleaned/coated the metal with Picklex. I'm gonna finish sanding this door tomorrow & hopefully start on sanding the rear door so that the paint can fly.

 

What all you got left? Must be just about done. It is looking sweeet!

J Lent...Just off topic,what brand of adhesive did you use for the door skins?I bought Norton speed grip.I'm starting the restoration on my 77 TA which will include quarter panels,door skins and lowers on the fenders.

 

I didn't get much done tonight, got home late. I gotta finish sandblasting the outside of the door tomorrow. Then I need to sand the last rear door & I'll be ready to shoot paint on the jambs. I'm in no rush though, its too cold here to paint anyway...20*. After these 2 jambs are painted, I'll be hanging the doors & final prepping the body for paint... aligning fenders, adjusting door latches & final sanding & masking. When the cab/front clip are done, I'll be sanding the frame & painting it with zero rust. Then the bed will be my final phase.

 

I used SEM, it really holds well. I got a little on my outer door & the sandblaster had a hard time getting it off.

 

Today I blasted the outside of the lower door & coated with Picklex. This door is about ready for epoxy. I have been working long hours & haven't worked on the truck much this week, but hoping to be spraying the last 2 jambs this weekend.

 

Nice day today. I got the last 2 doors in primer & ready for sanding, then the paint will fly....on the jambs anyway. Then I'll be ready to hang the doors & get them adjusted/working properly. Then the cab, front clip will be ready for the next nice day. I would shoot them today, but MY STEELERS GOT A SUPERBOWL TO WIN!!!

 

Shot the jambs today, I also forgot to post pics with seam sealer on the bottom of the doors. Here you go, ready to install all 4 doors now!!!
