Over drive turning off

Ok some times when im driveing down the road my over drive turns off. Other times when its cold out and i start my truck up for the first time the over drive is off already and my command lock is on and my cd player starts all over with all its settings. WHat could cause all this. And mainly the over drive turning off while going down the road thats the worst!

Mine did the EXACT same thing! The problem is with your tranny commander. The power wire is getting a dip in voltage, and it's resetting the commander, which, as you know, shut off the O/D when you start the engine...

This was explained to me by ATS... I ran a wire straight to the battery, and then through a relay, which powers my gauges, the tranny commander, and anything else I want to have switched power, and the problem is gone.

In my case, it would lose overdrive when my wipers turned on in the rain..

was thinking about it on the way home, perhaps a capacitor would help smooth out the voltage drop...

as for the CD player and such, perhaps your batteries are weak, and the voltage is dropping too low when cranking?
