Question Over boost Question

I just installed guages & when I punch it, boost goes to 25#, fuel pressure drops from 10# to 6# & EGT goes to 900. Shop manual says max boost is 19#. I've read where the computer will de-fuel when overboosting. Is this something I should fix before a 1,000 mi trip. I won't be loaded or in the hills.

My 07 will peg the boost guage past 40 psi if i stomp hard on the go pedal but i think its just the wastegate reacting slowly. I had this happen even before i had many mods done on my truck so i wouldn't get to worried about it. I'm not sure what my boost is supposed to run at but it will consistantly push 25 psi if i'm running hard on a hil or similar load. It had thrown a handfull of overboost codes in the past year but it hasn't hurt anything.

from what i understand you wont hurt anything. a stock hx35 turbo can put out a little over 30lbs....some people get alot more, but much over 30 isnt going to help because it will just be all hot air.
