When I had the exhasut replaced on the old truck I went with no muffler. Saved me 60 bucks and I had em run the exhaust out where it orignally went. Was still quiet in the truck what extra sound we did her was when flooring it and between buildings. Was music to my ears. You shouldn't notice a big difference in sounds at idle an part throttle. Just waiting for warranty to end, and exhaust to fall to do the same for our present truck. At least try it. Have muffler shop give you a price with and without muffler. Ask if its to loud can you come back and have the muffler installed for the muffler price then. I will bet you won't go back for the muffler. Good luck, dave

I hope your not serious for two reasons; 1) Your muffler actually FELL off? 2) You want to replace with the restrictive stock muffler? How and why?

Took mine off over four years ago. Too bad you didn't ask about two weeks ago, I finally threw it away. I could have sent it to you.

After thinking it over a piece of 4 inch pipe behind the resonator will replace the muffler just fine.

If you leave the resonator on, it's really not a bad sound at all. I think it goes four back to three if I remember right. Geno's has a muffler eliminator kit that works very well in place of the muffler. Use to be about $68 or so.

Ya know, when my muffler got stolen, a 5' piece of 3.5" pipe and 2 band clamps took care of my problem.

The weird thing is the thieves just left it sitting over on the side of the garage. You want it? PM Me.

I am left wondering if that muffler is worth the cost of postage?
