I have read through this entire post and I am wondering why nobody suggested a simple screw type hand throttle with a push button in the center. This was used on wreckers for many years when I was towing. Since it ties into the stock cable it is moving the throttle just like pushing on the pedal, that takes the idle validation out of the picture and also make the idle infinitely variable. No electronics or wires to screw with and no tapping into the computer system. Therefor no issues with codes.

Because that would be just to easy. No.....really I just want to utilize the trucks already ability to high idle electronically but its amazing how many people dont know this feature is there. You cant make me believe that Dodge/Cummins gave us a tranny with a PTO and wires indicating PTO but no way to utilize it. Why there was nothing offered from DC either, that anyone knows about, I dont know. The unfortunate part is that these trucks are a decade old and most companies dont support applications that far back. I've been finding this out too by calling any company which would possibly offer a PTO device for these year trucks. Sadly they did but they dont offer it anymore and any chance of finding out what the electronic part of it entailed is also no longer available. If anyone else has anything up their sleeves then I wouldn't mind knowing.

On my 06 you hit cruise then set, this takes it to 1100rpm then up or down buttons to go to 1500rpm and back. Works any time or temp.

Not sure but its there so there MUST have been something. As I said, Dodge has nothing and all the manufacturers I've contacted so far are no longer making anything for the 2nd gen Dodge.

I don't know what year they started with that feature. The dealer enabled mine for free when I asked the to turn it on while there for something else.
