Thumbs up Ok, What is your goal(s) for your truck?

I want to know everyones goals. List everything that you can think of.

Mine are make it look nice but have a raging bull under the hood

No cancer
Chrome kick plates
Flatbed with diamond plate boxes under for storage
5" turnouts (maybe but we will see)
450hp/??tq but still streetable
Have it to do some truck pulls and win with that old piece of junk
Blow any amount of smoke to even smog the tailgaters at night
Max the VE to its full (See if one day it could be capable of pumping 500+hp)
NO Alcohol
Do burnouts in any and every gear!

Very distant future goals are to retire (if thats really gonna happen ) it as:
500+hp/1200#tq
35" Mudders
8" turnout stacks
Twins
Traction bar
Front weights
Steering stablizers
Eagle 058 Alloys
BIG bumper in the front
Alcohol
Dual Clutch
Nickname Raging Bull (said with a certain awe and respect)

Lets here yours!

Jon

swap in an stroker intercooler, and get the truck somewhere around 350 horses or more with various mods, repaint the truck sassy grass green, flat black hood, with a repop of the big hemi drag hood scoop, red "SIX PACK" emblems like the cornets had on the scoop, 2 inch spacers and 3 inch body lift and hopefully fit 33's or 35's for street and skinnys on the front and 33 inch slicks in the rear for racing, i plan on drag racing it at Kil-Kare in dayton ohio and Lakeland motorsports park in lakeland florida, reverse full manual valvebody and good converter, black powder coated stealth stacks in the bed. we will see what happens though......

i hear ya on the money challenged part, now that i got 2 trucks, my cummins and my ranger, i can tear the ranger down and put spring shackles on it, springs touching bed floor, then start driving it while i get my pump rebuilt. then after that, all the money i get will go to the cummins. i am selling a few things right now to make some more money.

To surprise a lot of people with an old grocery getter. That one sitting over there with the trash can in the bed. Rod-n-reel in the gun rack.

I'm currently building gumption and info on overhauling/upgrading the trans. I'm gonna have to do it myself as the wife's lost her ability to haphazardly say "Sure dear, . . . whatever." (See disc brake thread).

With that, a cam, better valve springs, O-ringed (or equivalent) head, big single, and EDMs. Shooting for a conservative 350+ hp.

Little to no smoke and very quiet about it.

Exterior:
- sandblast/repaint flat bed (or new one)
- Stacks - behind the sleeper
- Dump hydralics for bed

Interior:
- Sound system
- Tilt Steering
- Ham radio install
- Car computer / navigation / music /data summary for engine parameters

Engine/Performance
- Sensors Pyro/boost/temps/pressures
- Analog gauges (primary)
- pump timing tweeked
- PS intercooler install

Ultimate goal is to have a good running truck that will have optimized power for towing / fuel consuption for recreational trailer towing.

Well maybe this is a wish list rather than goals. I will get some of this done as time goes on.

I'd like to push the limits of the VE someday (once I'm out of college and making some decent money). I'd also like to have a way to log data from a variety of sensors and eventually develop a chip to control variable geometry twins... but that's a ways down the road. Making it look decent would be good too.

In the next year:
-Redo all the body work, get rid of all the rust, and have it painted a solid colour
-Some nice aluminum rims
-Train horns for those who decide to pull stupid moves around me

Down the road after I have another CTD as my daily driver and the tractor will be my play truck:
-Lift it and throw some bigger meats on it
-Either swap in a NV4500 or a built up auto
-Redo the interior with new carpet, sound deadening material, and a set of 2nd gen seats
-Build a nice set of HD bumpers front and rear and put on a winch
-DDP stage III injectors and a piston lift pump
-HTB2 turbo or something that will keep up with the extra fueling
- o-ringed head and ported and some ARP studs
- Cam
- Every seal replaced so I have 0 leaks

Oh its nice to dream
