I have traded for a set of heated and power mirrors off a 99 3500 and im going to put them on my 95. I was wondering if my harness would plug up? or if ill have to straight wire it?
Thanks

Did your 95 have power mirrors? If it didn't you are going to need wiring and switch from a newer truck. Check with your local salvage yard for some of those parts.

I'm not sure either, there might be an extra wire, just inspect the plugs thoroughly and count the wires. That should give you an indication as to what is going on. I really don't know what to tell you except I do have a switch on my dash for the heated mirror part, so it might be logical to conclude that there is going to be more than simply plugging them in.

PS. My heated mirrors will only stay on for about 5-10 minutes b4 bugging out.

Bob,
Thanks for all your help, i'll probably just cut the heated wires and plug them straight, i better find a schmatic to make sure theres not required relays! heated mirrors and melted mirrors tend to be some what diffrent, the melted ones done have as nice of apperance! Thanks again for all your help!

Definately a good idea to find some wiring diagram, should be able to find one of the guys who knows much more than I do. There HAS to be some relay in there, because otherwise, why would the mirror heat only stay on for so long??

It would have to be in the switch itself, or under the hood in the black box.

BTW: Post your truck on your signature so that everyone can know what you have....

The heated mirror setups have a timer relay under the dash. Unless you have a good memory as to when to turn them off suggest you use one also.
