Front Brake Pad Choices...

Been researching forums on brake pads for my 99 2wd 3500, would like to improve braking without sacrificing stock rotors. Mopar ValuLine are all that's available(OEM discontinued for 99) thru Dodge. Napa or AutoZone are convenient. Are most premium pads rivited or are some bonded? I've attached pic of pads off my truck, can anyone ID them?Front Brake Pad Choices...-brake-pads-001.jpg

Hawk Performance from http://www.genosgarage.com/products.asp?dept=150 are a perfect match for our rotors and very long lasting.
You get what you pay for proves itself in the case of these pads.

I have NAPA premiums on the front and they stop well and have little to no dust.

The low dollar NAPAs I have on the rear until I can get new rotors are very dusty, but the braking still feels firm.

I'll put the NAPA premiums on when I get the new rotors.

I can't answer your questions but I have had excellent results with my stock factory brake pads.

Ditto Hawk pads. I've had them for awhile and am very happy with them.

Take a look at Rockauto.com They have several different brands and different levels of quality. I found some USA Ceramics on there that look very well made. For 66 bucks they better be

Rivited or bonded are both very functional. It was thought the rivited ran cooler.

Doesn't help you much with a 93, but it's just another direction to look. Geno's seems to be a favored source.

My 2 Cents

I went from the wear ever siler( advance auto) to the raybestos semi-metallic(md370, i think)..big time difference. I got them at Rockauto..on sale for $11 a set.

I just installed EBC green brake pads and power slot cryoed rotors. Haven't had them on long but stopping seems a little better with no dust or squeeling. They contain no abestos, another plus.
