Question Difference between Sport and SLT

Howdy y'all. I have a friend at my apartment complex that has a Ram 1500. He thinks its a Sport package while I think its a normal SLT package. Here is a few differences I know of:

1. The grill does not have the chrome trim on the Sport, but is painted the same color as the rest of the truck.

2. The door emblems is a flat sticker on the Sport rather than the regular emblems.

Are there any other differences between the two? Any information would be appreciated.

Sport usually has the 2 buldb headlights, and the deeper front air dam/bumper combo and driving lights.

My 97 1/2 Ton Sport only had one bulb in each headlight. Can't remember what year the change to 2 bulbs was made (believe it was '99).
My '97 also said "Sport" on the rear fender, just behind the wheel
If the truck has a rear bumper, on the Sport is should be the same color as the truck (mine originally had a "valence" panel", not a bumper (again ).

Basicly no chrome, sport emblems, quad lights, and different front bumper(up until 2002) this is the old body style differences.

Not all sport packages have the flat stickers. Mine has some of the normal badges along with some sport badges.

99 was the first year of the new sport, like the one pictured above. The old sport front ends had single bulb headlights and had same shape grille and bumper only color matched to the truck.

sport package up to 99 was a trim package, gave body colored bumpers and grill , the rear tail lights also had painted trim (body color instead of black)

you had to have an slt to order the sport package

after 99 the sport got a new front facia and dual bulb headlights

a normal slt will have chrome

as for the decals/badges ................ some had "sport" decals some didn't ????
