Which Brand Of Tires?
Hello, I am in need of a new set of tires for my truck this spring and have been looking around for maybe something different than what I currently have. I currently have LT285/75/16 BF Goodrich AT tires that came with the truck when I bought it. I'm considering getting Pro-Comp AT Tires of the same size or maybe just staying with the same BF Goodrich tires, I'm not sure, but I would like anyone to comment on this. I go off road about 25 percent of the time the rest is driving in rain, snow or on dry pavement if this helps. Sorry for the long post......Brandon

tires
I'm currently using Goodyear workhorses and have very good wear. The michelins I had cost too much and gave less than 30,00miles. The Bridgestones gave good mileage but got really hard when it got below zero and provided no traction.

The last 3 sets of tires I've had on 2 different trucks have been BFG ATs. I'm happy with them, and I can get them relatively cheap.
Also, there was a post not a week back with plenty of thumbs up for Nitto Terra Grapplers.

I'm all over the BFG's now, as I have 35x12.50's on my 95'. Wear isn't bad, and they pull pretty well in soft sand, mud, and snow. They are no mud terrain, but they are so quiet i can't hear them over the diesel engine.

I have Kumho MT's on mine and love them. They are doing well as far as wear for right now. Let's just say I pulled my neighbor out of the ditch a few weeks ago with two round bales on his steel hydra-bed and had no problem. My road is total crap and I just sing right along. The tires were $120 each online from Jegs with no shipping. I think they quite carrying them, but you can find them elsewhere. Here's the tires and my road. They only rocks on my road are the ones that my tires carry in from the other roads.

I like the looks of the road, nice country! Deep ruts! Nice.
Mine are Goodyear Wranglers ATS, and I am impressed with how they handle in snow. Mine are softer than I would buy (4-ply D rating, came with the truck) but they really track well on bumpy snow pack and ice, so I now feel for winter they are great. A friend of mine has the same tire in 10-ply E, and they wear like iron.
