Best replacement radio for 2nd Gen

I am having issues with my stock radio. It has never worked since I got my 1994 3500. Any ideas on what could be wrong??

I am pretty much ready to swap it out. Have you guys come up witha good standard stereo head for the 2nd Gens? Not looking for anything fancy just want something to listen to my AM politics on ha. Thanks guys

If I get a truck with a bum stereo I usually swap it out with another OEM radio.
The aftermarket radios, seems to have quality issues and the radios do not seem to pull in radio stations as well.

I have a collection of OEM Radios, if you are in need.

Can o worms....replace to stock. Each speaker has it's own amp or something and you would need to replace everything....my Dad's 94 is on it's 3rd factory radio, they keep going out for some reason so he just replaces it because it's unplug/plug and done.

I replaced the radio in my 92 and 01 with a Pioneer unit just because I wanted something with a USB port that will play my mushroom music. All is needed are the wiring harness and dash adapters. As far as I'm concerned, it works far better than the OEM unit ever did.

20 years ago I would get them from the likes of Crutchfield. Which is a stereo store that used to send out catalogs of swag you could buy from them.
