Infinity radio question

Infinity radio question
Is there any way to stop advertising on my radio while it on FM? There is a "banner ad" for an eye doctor that continually come across the display of my radio and it is getting quite annoying! Any help would be greatly appreciated folks, thanks in advance!

Howdy starvin,
Welcome aboard. I don't have that radio (I have a 2nd gen truck), but my guess would be that the radio is equipped with RDS (Radio Data System). There is probably a way to turn that feature off (at least on other radios I have had, you could). If you turn "off" RDS, you might lose other features, like the station name/call sign or song title info.
