99 DRW ind supension lower ball joints

Rebuilding the frontend on the 99 stage 2 DRW independent front and ran into a puzzler on my lower ball joints. They have snap rings on both upper and lower sides of the A-frame and I don't know which direction to press them out and the new ones in. Anybody know which way they go? Top down or bottom up? I can't tell by looking at them. The bottom is the side the taper pin is on in the pic. Thanks

I'm going to guess they press out downward.

Thanks high bid. Reckon I'll start that-a-way. Like the username. I'm registered with some online auctions as "Lowbid1" Go figure since it always turns out "HIGH!".

Well DUHHH. If I'd have been patient until I picked up the new ones, I wouldn't have asked a stupid question. The new ones are self explanatory, there is a shoulder on the tapered pin side that I didn't notice on the ones still in the A-frames. Sorry high bid for the trouble. I'll probably be back though with more stupid questions.
