Please Help! can't find lower ball joints anywhere.

I was wondering if any of you know where to get lower ball joints for my 2000 3500 2wd with indepentant suspension. I really really don't want to pay dodge $300 for the lower control arm and a ungreaseable balljoint. I have been waiting since february for moog to make theirs and they still don't even have a production date to tell me when to expect them. I went to napa and they said their brand is made by moog. They couldn't even find a part number and I was talking to the owner of the store so I think she knew what she was doing. If anybody knows of a different brand to try or knows where to get a set PLEASE HELP.

That seems funny. I went to two differant NAPA stores in this area and they had all 4 ball joints in stock. One even had a pitman arm in stock. Have you tried any other parts outlets? Seems like somebody should have them.

Some time about 1999 or 2000 the part numbers were changed. So, the early trucks and later ones will not swap parts.
I have in my hands a NAPA part- 260-1548.
Made by precision and is for my 02 4X4 lower ball joint.
