Are the 99 00 01 air filters the same?
I know the 99 and the 00 are the same but does a 01 fit the 00? I found a used K&N from an 01 and was wanting a spare for my 99 and 00. I thought the cleaning process would be much easiear done right if I had a spare to rotate thru.

dont know why you want a K&N on there but yeah they are the same (p/n: 33-2056 for the drop in)

Why not have a paper filter for rotation??

I would have to agree with the good doctor besides drop in filters in factory airbox are next to worthless. But yes they have the same airbox

electrified, do yourself a favour.....do a some research on this site regarding on K&N filter. A BHAF with a prefilter is a much better choice.

Definately go with the BHAF. Trust me, you will not be disappointed.
