I have had good luck with BFG 285s in E-rating for the past 3 years, but they may give me 30-35,000 miles. I drive a little aggressively, but not crazy. They have pulled me thru some crap tho. I like them, but don't expect good mileage.

I may try Toyos next time or BFGs, but am considering going with 18" or 20" wheels when that time comes and whatever "E" rated tire I can find except for Nittos.

How many miles did you end up getting out of these tires?

Next was some Bridgstone duller revo at, biggest and widest that would fit. same thing, was great for 1 year, traction got poor after 1st year, wore uneven even with regular tire rotations. And these tires retailed for almost $300 each.

I was going to go with the Mich. At again, decided on These instead. Michelin XPS Traction 235/85.

These have been on for 1 year, and have 34,000kms on them. very even ware, somewhat hard rubber, not great on ice or snow, but better than all the other tires after their 1st year. Great on the highway, and great with a load. Even longer lasting are the Rib tires, but sacrifice some traction with those.

I would consider the Mich. LTX a gentleman's truck tire, They are great in snow and ice for the first year. If you want commercial grade longevity, get a commercial type tire.. These were not easy to find, and came to $1300 with tax installed... If I am lucky, they will be the last tires I buy for this truck, plan to sell it in 3 years..

Good luck....

I sold that truck last spring, I had at least 75,000 kms on them and they were still in good shape.
I had to put new rubber on the 07 I purchased, If the silly dodge people had of left the 07 tire size at 16" I would have just swapped tires, but NO,, they gotta go and put more expensive harder to find 17" rims on there,, Any way, I went with the new version LTX MS.
I did find the XPS a hard riding tire, but def worth the money for the milage. If I was still driving gravel roads I prob would have tried harder to find the XPS, but I know several other guys with the LTX on their 25 and 3500 trucks and they all had great results.
So far, I have about a year on these and they are holding up very good. Marginally better traction than the XPS, but I still slid off the driveway on the ice this winter.
The LTX were just easier to find from a big chain dealer I knew I could easily get cross country service from in the event of problem, so I went with the LTX this time...

My experience with Coopers wasnt good. I had a set on my 96 and when they got down to about 5/16 the driver front tread delaminated at 65. Destroyed my fender door and rocker panel.

Three years later same thing happened on my 94 only it was the driver rear. Destryed the driver side of the bed all around wheel well, even ripped the gas tank door off. Needless to say Im not a Cooper fan anymore.
