Pirelli 285/70-17 tires in Load range D-E - recommendations?

Pirelli 285/70-17 tires in Load range D-E - recommendations?
the real problem is wet traction. the OEM BFG's are just too slick, rains here alot.
wife's just too short to go the 315 route...think 285's are next best
had been looking hard at the KUMHOs but they are not load rated - only "SL"
