why is this

i was looking at my 2000 ctd and it has a six speed tranny and i looked at the engine plate and it said 235 hp now i thought all six speed were ho but mine is a so with a six speed why is this

There was no HO option in 2000.

so they just put six speed in the so and mix them around

I am not sure of the year, but the six speed was an option even in 1999 and up, the HO option tied to the six speed came I think in 2001.

The non HO 6-speeds have a small input shaft, and are not rebuildable with the small shaft. You have to upgrade to the larger shaft (along with the larger clutch), when rebuilding them.

I have one.
