Where To Purchase Fuel Filter Lid?
Go to Cummins. Buy a remote head, and an FS1000 or 1001 (one is taller you want the shorter). Install big lines. The filters will contian half again more debris, filters 5 micron at mid 90% (factory '99 only does low 80% at 5 mic) an 99% of 10 micron. Head cost me less then $30. Filters are less then $15.
I dumped the entire factory assembly since I don't need heat here.

I took two cummins filter bases that i got from Fleet Guard Shop. I made a bracket and mounted them on the frame rail.
I then took advantage of the time to install my Vulcan Big Line Kit. I cut my fuel line by the transfer case and took 3/8 rubber fuel line to a holley blue pump. Then 1/2 fuel line from the holley blue to dual Fleetguard filter bases. I then used a Water/Fuel Seporater and then a fuel filter right after that. Then 1/2 fuel line to the Injection Pump.
I hope this helps you.
Still looking for a fuel filter canister? I have one off a 1998-1/2 that I removed when I put on an Airdog unit. If you're interested, contact me @ yuccadude62@yahoo.com
