Unhappy Diesel shop needed

Can anyone reccomend a repair shop in the Seattle area? My brother-in law is on the way from BC to California and is having problems with his stock 98.5 24 valve, auto. Fuel problems, may be the lift pump. Engine is quitting at stop lights and when it is shifted in gear, has to keep bleeding and priming it, can sometimes keep it running with a fast idle when at the stop lights. He will need a shop in the morning. Thanks Rick

There are a lot of diesel shops and truck repair in south Seattle, near the south end of Boeing field, Airport Way, Interurban Ave toward Tukwila. I think there is also a cummins shop in that area. Only dealer I know that I would recommend is Brewer Chryser, in Auburn, but I don't know if they are much into CTD. Up farther north in the Mt Vernon area just west of I-5 is a cummins shop, and a big truck repair, think the name is Northwest truck repair. Haven't been in that area for a few years.
There are others from the Great Pacific Northwest that may have better information.

Sounds like an air leak into the fuel system to me. Maybe he can look over it himself, and check for cracks in the fuel hoses, rusted through tank module connectors etc.

Thanks for the help. Went to one of the shops, and was treated very well. Turned out to be the good ole lift pump and of course the vp44 was shot as well. Rick
