Valve adjustment?
I believe that is the recomended amount of torque to be applied form the rocker to the valve truss with the feeler gauge inbetween after the nut on top has been losened. Pretty sure thats it. I dunno
Maybe I'm off base here, but wouldn't this tool make the valve adjustments easier?
This tool is used to apply a constant 6 in/lbs on each while the feeler gauge is inserted, allowing you to keep the adjustment exactly the same on all valves ... am I correct? No sliding the gauge back and forth trying to "feel" the adjustment? If this is the case, I'm buying one! I'm installing my 275's (thanks Bartman) and doing a valve adjustment next weekend. I'm up for anything that'll simplify the process!

The thing I wonder about using that tool is, when you tighten the jam nut it might tighten the adjustment screw as well and make your setting tighter than you want. I don't see how it could prevent this.
