Valve Adjustment

I am going to adjust my valves tomorrow. Are the tollerances the same for the 24v as the 12v? Is there anything different to job from the 12v?

I checked mine after 160K miles and there was nothing to adjust. Even the manual says leave them alone unless you have worked on the valve train.

But it never hurts to check. While you are there look at your fan blades. If you see cracks replace it. Mine just came apart and caused about $1,000 in damage.

The plastic cover is threaded. Turn it to the left. Make sure the gasket is in good shape whne you put it back. I used a strapwrench, but its not on very tight.
