My 01 has been down with only second and third gear. I have brought it to my family mechanic and he couldnt do a thing with it. So I took the truck from there directly to Trans - Medic in Windham NH. They replaced the Governer and got the tranny fully functioning again but two days later im down again with only second and third gear. Has anyone had a problem like this or similar? What did you do to correct it?

 

It sounds like second gear starts, I think DTT addresses this problem on their website... try this link DTT .

Are you saying no Overdrive either?? Assume not.

Have heard of lots of Sensors/governors replaced...but never more than one per truck per 150,000 miles?

Did mine once...think you need an APPS reset afterwards...can't remember for sure? Wouldn't hurt to try it.....

yes i do not have overdrive, I just phoned transpec in hudson nh. I have a bd torgue converter and a #19 upgraded valve body. Says he needs to tune it and things should be just fine. hopefully this problem will be solved
