W/the stuff in my sig towing, I run about 55-60mph @ 2k rpms. I usually start out in D when towing and then shift to o/d after reaching 55-60. Depends on the terrain also. More lights, I'll just leave it in D. Hauling the Baja @ 70mph I'm usually turning about 1800rpm. Egt's are in check @ about 1k*. I've never hit 1200* w/the exhaust upgrade. I'm probably at the max tow weight w/the gear/axle ratio and tires but it has worked well to date. Right now I'm at the point of needing more fuel and trying to save for M1.6.

how much weight are you pulling? and is it hilly? fill out your sig line as we dont know what has been done to your truck.
if flat leave it in OD, you can tell if its under load or not, if its struggling down shift

We ocasionally tow with my wifes 05 cummins,auto,4x4 and it has 3.54s in it for ratio. At 65 it is right at 1950 R.P.M. The loads we haul are around 10,000 and we havent had any trouble with it after 90,000 miles.

I've got 3.55's in mine also. At 65 in D I'm running about 2500 rpm, in OD it drops to around 1800-1900. So far I've operated by listening to the truck, don't lug it. If I can move it at 70, I figure it'll handle OD. If it lugs, or starts to struggle, then I downshift.

ive got 3:55s i dont know why i didnt say that. i just remember running 33s on a truck and not having enough rpm to pull the camper. i was just thinking that 35s should run 4-5 mph faster and leave it in Drive. pulling 9000# mostly flat.
