This is an oldie, but goodie. I was searching through threads in hope of finding a good answer to my latest question;
"Should I straight pipe?".

I think Chris answered my question, as I am always pleased to know that someone has been offended to the point of public obsenity because of my driving habits or vehicle.
Good work Chris, I laughed to the point of tears when I read you post.

All you got to do is squeeze the throttle and you can turn heads.

I love the part of passinf fellow Dodge owners and being asked what kind of exhaust system I've got and where did I get it at!?!?

Straight Piped!

Got the piece of 3" pipe at the local muffler shop...

I'll never look at a muffler the same again...

Thats where I'm heading with it, I've found two local shops that stock 3"+ and are willing to slap it in for me.

the only problem I've found is that my neighbours hate waking up when I leave for work

Not a problem for me... My neighbors are over 500 feet away and really can't hear it until I cobb the throttle as I hit the highway and row through some gears.

It always puts a smile on my face! Also everyone hears me coming home!

We straight piped mine a couple months ago and I picked up a solid 1 mpg across the board. Maybe a bit more towing. It's a bit loud but not as bad as some of the Harleys. For some reason the truck smokes a little more. It was pretty hard to get even a puff before but now about anytime I roll into the throttle it will cough a good bit. I even put a new air filter, fuel filter and oil change. It's just fun that all. It's a great alarm clock at 5:300 AM when I go to work

I also was able to set off a couple car alarrms at Walmart. Now that was funny. I also set off my son's neighbor's yard alarm every time I got there.
