Replacement fuel filter

I know everyone reccomends Fleetguard /Mopar
oil filters ,but is it O.K. if I use a NAPA (Wix) fuel
filter. Dealer wants $37.00 for Mopar fuel filter.

I buy my fuel filters directly from my local Cummins Parts House.
About $14 for a fuel filter, $8 and change for a Stratopore Oil Filter.

the dealer cant help on the price structure. he gets screwed by mopar because a dealers cost is more that what most parts stores sell them for at retail over the counter. my dealerships parts man always tells me to go elsewhere to buy a fuel filter. he may stock one for warranty work or a stranded desperate customer. he does give me a decent price on oil filters.

i have a friend that owns a hd truck shop. he gets all fleetguard. he gives me a real good price when i buy by the case. i wont say how much in case he reads this but they are cheap and he is still making a few bucks profit.

I buy from Geno's. 4 oil, 2 fuel, 1 air for < $100. If you get in a bind...Purolator fuel filter IS a Stratopore. Like $23 at Pep Boys.

Cummins Dealer has the fleetguards for cheap... Fuel filter for 12 bucks and oil filters for 8 bucks! It won't mess with the warranty! How can you go wrong!
