'99 fuel filter replacement

I have no idea where I can find directions on how to do a fuel filter replacement on a '99. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re:'99 fuel filter replacement

Illustrated instructions are usually included with the new replacement element. If your's is the same as my '98, it's not too difficult. I find a used 20 oz. soda bottle works well for draining the canister, it'll sit up on the front axle, and will hold all the drained fuel from the canister.

To prime the system after the new element is installed, I crack open the center brass plug on the fuel filter header, turn the ignition key on to cycle the lift pump, and close the plug when fuel starts coming out. It then ususally starts up in 10-15 seconds of cranking after this procedure. It gets most of the air out. Hope this helps.
