Exclamation clutch system

I have found the odd hard shift and if the clutch is depressed for long periods at a red light say it will release VERY early, I replaced the through out bearing when I put in he SB clutch 20,000 km ago. The manual say if their is a leak or air to replace the entire system The resivour is not showing signs of dropping, and I guess I can't flush out the DOT 3 ...... any ideas ?

I had the same problems, had to replace the slave/master cylinder. From what I understand, you can get one or the other from NAPA.

Couldn't be bothered to figure out which end was dying so I hit the dealer for a replacement set. 20 minutes later, the truck was back to normal.

Homestead, how much did you pay?? I have to go to airdrie this week so I'll grab it there. How do you bleed the system or does it self bleed?

I checked with the area around the master and it is leaking is it common for the seal to fail, or just replace the whole assembly

Replace them both so you don't have to do it again later. And the best way to bleed it is the "Vacuum" method. Email me if you want to know how to do a cheap bleeder set up.

Buy it from Dodge, it comes as a hydraulic assembly. All one piece, filled with fluid and ready to go. Sure beats replacing it in pieces and fighting to bleed it.

Sorry I didn't reply earlier. Been out of of town.

Obviously you have the new unit. Just so everyone knows, the factory replacement actually comes in 2 pieces. After you fish it all in, the 2 ends just plug together. No bleeding needed, no mess. Simple as that.

I always use DOT 4 fluid in the clutch systems. It has a higher boiling point.

This a self contained unit, if it has air in it they recommned replacing it there is no bleed like a brake system.
