replaced VP

So a couple of weeks ago my truck crapped out on me, pulled the codes and was getting a 1680. CPS. Replaced that no go. Still wouldn't run. Then replaced the VP and that did the trick. The truck runs good now. But I'm still getting the CPS code on my cheapo scanner while it is running. Is this a sign of impending failure. Or can a better scanner be able to tell me exactly what is wrong. I never got the CPS code when cycling the key, only on the scanner. Any thoughts??

Have you cleared the codes and they come back?

I just disconnected the batteries for 10 minutes with the key on, but now I have a 1690,1691,0370.

P1690 Fuel injection pump CKP Sensor Does Not Agree With ECM CKP Sensor
P1691 Fuel Injection Pump Controller Calibration Failure

P0370 Timing Reference High Resolution Signal "A"

Maybe I was having a brain fart, and those codes were there all along, I just never let the key codes scan all the way through. Guess I will have to clear them at the local autozone tomorrow and see what happens. Or atleast I hope that is it.
