lift pump replaced
It died yesterday when I was hauling a backhoe. The truck didn't have any power. i dont run a fuel pressure gauge. Dealer wanted 222.00 cummins was a total of 160.00. Big difference it also came with a 1yr/100k warranty. No problems installing even put in new banjo bolts. Looked at old one and noticed the wiring at the pump itself was loose and damaged messed with and it worked. Got an extra now maybe so check your wires on the pump before you get a new one. have gotten at least 70k on my 01 before it died. Not sure on this 98 it looked factory comared to the new one from cummins. This truck has a 150k when the pump went. thought I would share.
