Power Service Diesel Fuel Supplement +Cetane Boost

hey guys got a quick question about using powerservice. I could only find the 32oz bottle of power service and was wondering sinec it will treat a 100 gallons can i dump the whole thing in to the tank? iam leavin for elk camp soon and was just wondering iam goin to let the truck get low on diesel before i fill up to head down the highway so i figured i would dump it in and fill it up to get it mixed good.

I just put 1/3 of it in each fillup.

1/3 of 100 is 33.33333, just shy of the total capacity of the fuel tank.

Any more than 1/2 in the tank would be wasting it.

I usually don't go past 22 gallons before filling and use about 1/4 bottle so 80-90 gallons per bottle. Seems to cut the rattle a little. Mileage ??? don't see any difference and I've tried several times.

Any more than half the bottle would be overkill.

It's "guaranteed" to prevent gelling at the 32 oz per 100 gallon ratio.

I agree with Phox, but I still dump the whole bottle in at each fill up. I've had to many of the bottles leak on me in between fill ups. Good luck at Camp!

Yes that is a stinking mess when that happens, but I cured that problem with a simple remedy. Somebody gave me one of those little purple bags that Crown Royal comes in and that stuff fits right in that bag.

I have a topper on my truck and that bag hangs perfectly off the rear clamp that holds the top on, so it will never leak again. Thank you who ever gave me that little purple bag

Now thats a great idea, the price of PowerService seems to be following the path of other fluids we purchase

I run a 32 ounce bottle thru a couple of times per year and when I do use it I I use 1/2 bottle per fresh fill up.

I do this for two consecutive fill ups and then layoff it for a few months.

I wouldn't go any stronger than 16 ozs. per tank, and at that only a few times per year, but that's me. It may be fine to go stronger.

If you use it more often or on a regular basis you could probably get good results using just 1/4 bottle or a bit less per tank.

ya i think iam goin to dump just half the bottle in then when i fill up before heading up the mountain dump the rest in then not do any thing for a month then do it again. the temps around the house in the winter never really get much above frezzing and since iam goin elk hunting i dont want to risk gelling at the trail head 7hrs from any source of a mechanic

1/2 of a large bottle is more than enough % mix, I add to every tankful 16ozs, good preventive maintenance. Good luck elk hunting, I'm leaving also but just for 2 days.

heres is my findings on the Power Service Diesel Fuel Supplement +Cetane Boost.

I drove 200 miles tell i got to baker city running at 1900rpms at 65 mph i was averging 16.5mpg. Then in baker i filled up with fuel and i added 16oz of power service and drove the 100 miles to the trail head on the way up truck ran waaaaaaaaay smoth and i was averging 17.5mpg. Then on the way home i drove straight though th 300 miles back and was running same rpms and speed and was getting 18.5 and the truck started first pull after sitting in 25 and below temps.

For warm California should I be running the White bottle or the Silver bottle... I have been dumping about 1/2 a bottle of the white bottle in every tank..

Will the silver bottle (diesel Kleen) work better keeping the little guy with the hammer out of my engine???
