Either the front crank seal or coming out the breather tube.

Is there a good fix for the front or rear seals going without dropping the motor? Mine is gunky under there too. Some of it is p/s leakage but not all.

I assume that's a "take it to the shop" situation, but if I can limp it until I get the REST of this truck's issues sorted...

Gotta drop the trans for the rear seal. Front seal is pretty straight forward, just pull the belt, fan, and timing cover.

On my 2000, it was the vacuum pump seal that was rust checking my engine.... not a hard fix, but took about 4 hours...

And bleeding the P/S system of air? Also, was told by local NAPA dude that chrysler likes ATF+4 as Power steering fluid. The manual says "mopar" fluid, and the back of the ATF+4 says it MIXES with Mopar... good?

I need to do this to install my redhead steering gear today, and if I tackle the vaccuum seal at some point the same will need to be done.
