need apps help bad

everything was fine on my truck until i had to unhook the batts to replace them. since then i have had all kinds of issues with the ole' tc lock unlock syndrome. i have tried everything on this site and nothing seems to be working. i have aluminum foiled the alt wire, apps reset dozens of times, apps voltage reset(was at .41, adjusted it to .55 my apps is supposed to be.558), cleaned batt posts and terminals, grounded apps housing straight to negative post on batt, and i think thats about it. i will recheck my apps voltage again tomorrow to make sure it is still right. i have seen/heard of people cleaning there apps. how should i go about this? does anbody else have any suggestions? i am over this whole situation, it is VERY aggrevating!!! thanks in advance!

Did you press the go pedal to the floor slowly & let it back up slowly to reset the ecm after installing the battery posts? The ecm needs to relearn throttle positions after the battery is reconnected.

You need to check your TPS also.

Try setting your apps back to the orginal voltage setting of.41 as you claim all your issues started after you adjusted it, on a side bar I too adjusted mine as per the instructions, mine was .44 and I adjusted to .55 and gotta say mine shifted much better before I adjusted it, I have not had time yet But I plan on putting my apps out of spec to see if it works like it used to.

i adjusted the voltage because of the problem. my problems started after i put new batts's in and had to disconnect them a couple of times installing stuff. then the apps resets just stopped helping so i checked the voltage and it was off so i adjusted it.

UPDATE.....

well i tried another trick today. 4th gear hunt fix rewire. i cut the ground wire for the apps and ran both ends straight to the negative post on batt. while i was in there i went ahead and did another apps reset and apps voltage reset(it was off a little...it was .52 and is supposed to be .558 recorrected to .560) put 15 miles on it today and it was flawless. it has done this before though and the problem showed back up a day or two later soooo we will see. i guess time will tell. keeping my fingers crossed!!!

well i dont want to jinx my results but i thought i would let you know...... i have put almost 500 miles and about a week of driving on my truck now with out a single hickup. i am starting to get excited about it but still wondering weather it will start up again. so far so good. if i dont get any issues after a while i would say this is the best fix i have come accross yet.
