JunkYard engine swap (what should I look out for)
I found a junk yard that has a 24v HO for my truck, and I am wanting to know what should I look out for (anything, in the engine, performing the engine swap, etc) doing it my self. This is a complete engine with turbo & injection pump, (no accesories, alternator, starter) with a 6 month warranty.
Also what would be a fair price for this. Junkyard engine has 133,000 on it and says it was running fine when they reclaimed it out of the truck.

Similar year - problems with crank - cam position sensors from older to newer requiring ecm change if I recall correctly.
When I got mine they were 3 to 4000 used but I got a burned one in great shape for $1500. It just looked ugly so no one wanted it.
Only 65000 on the Cummins recon? Seems they should warranty that.
