Can anyone tell me how to get a high idle for my 01 cummins?

 

I think you have to do a flash from the dealer or buy a smarty. do a search, it's all the rage right now. Mine is a umbrella jammed into the throttle = $0, it was the best deal on the whole truck

And i got my updated and it works great. But for times you need to get your truck to warm up fast and it does kick high idle in. I would get a stick or a camping pole or anything. Just wedge it between the seat and center console and set your throttle to where it needs to be.

Because it was 20 degrees outside this morning and my high idle didn't kick in. So i wedge something between my seat and held the rpm's about 1500 and it was warm in no time.
