Ive seen some things.....but this!

You guys should get a kick out of this

This truck is in the shop as we speak. Owner just bought it used and was complaining of low power/white smoke and that it wouldnt run over 35mph. This is an ISB in a FL60 (99 model)

In the links below you can see how they have re-routed the injector lines and placed a coupler that is rusting out on #4. There are no clamps at all on the lines and they have taken a piece of paper and stuck it between one of the lines and the head to keep it from rubbing. On #6 they ran it through the engine lift eye.

I just got into the job but I suspect there whole problem will be this as well as an engine harness that is showing bare wire all the way up to the VP pump.

Needless to say....someone didnt know what they were doing.

That's some ugly jerry-rigging there, Monty. Didn't the sucker who bought it drive it first?

Monty, I don't think that I've ever seen such a mess! How could a guy buy an expensive piece of equipment like that and not look under the hood? I would think that even a mechanically challenged individual could see that there is something not right there!

Those are some beautiful lines. I think I'm gonna have that guy bend me up a set for my truck.

I think he looked under the hood. But, I dont think he knew they werent supposed to be like that.

You can imagine how the truck ran. Reminded me of an old carbed gasser loading up. Had to rev it up to 1100 just to move it or it would die. I sure hope he got a good deal on it. LOL
