Installed Fuel Pressure Gauge
Well I installed a fuel pressure gauge today. Seemed pretty easy. So i start the truck up after i get the line to the sender bled and its reading 2-3 psi at idle and drops to 0 when revved up. So i guess i need a new LP, could use some suggestions on a not too expensive/hard to install LP. I don't wanna kill my VP!!!

Same problem as me. Install monitoring device...find defective LP. I've go another post going now about mine.
I looked at lots of different options today. If you want a stock replacment, I found that most shops in my area are using a Delphi pump. One recommended the Alliant pump. They've only been using it for two months, but no issues so far. It has a fail safe bypass built in. I'm sorry I don't have an online supplier or link. I'm getting mine locally. I had a page eariler but cannot find it again. Cost should be $150-200.

You are going to read a lot of ideas on what is the best. I installed a Holley Blue and totally bypassed the in tank pump and am having no problems at all. That would be a cheap/easy fix in my opinion.

I think NAPA may have the Carter OEM with lifetime warranty for about $125, more or less .
The Vulcah kit is highly recommended upgrade! Improved flow to VP44, eliminates Banjo bolts.

Your NAPA is cheaper than mine. They wanted $210 for the Carter pump (sold under the NAPA Fuel Pumps name).
Picked up my Alliant pump last night. Reading through the papers, it says I will see lower pressures, but flow will be better. Hmm..... didn't know that, guess we'll see what the guage says after install.

You could do a FASS HPFP with 3/8" or 1/2" line, a Draw Straw, and a 1/2" line from the filter to the injection pump. This way you would eliminate all restrictions in the fuel system and have peace of mind that it is solid.
