Injector replacement

I need to replace the injectors on my 01 Ram 2500 CTD, I've got at least two that are fouled.
Dealer did a cylinder balance test to verify and said I would be better off with new injectors rather than them cleaning them.

The truck is basically stock with 126K, (K&N air filter and cat & muffler eliminated).

What are the best choices to go with price wise and quality wise on a set of injectors?

I went with ddp's stg 1's which is like 40hp for 600.00 then got 150.00 back from the core return. Noticed a little more response and if I turn the edge up on 5x5 alot more smoke. With the new injectors I increased from 15.9mpg to 20.9 city and 23.8 hwy. Not to bad of a deal there. Egt's also dropped around a 150 degrees or so. I can only imagine how nice F-1's would have been!

Price is a little more on the F1 injectors, from what I have seen and been quoted.

That said, they are a quality product. If they are not the best, they are definitely as close as it gets. Don M builds a quality product for sure.

I have installed a couple of sets of F1 units, and they seem to be everything they are advertised to be. The guys who have them are 100% satisfied.

Thats cause the dealer wants to get a sale from ya .

On the other hand, If your wantin a new set, Now you have an excuse.
DDP and F1 are the two best. Stage 1's from either and you prob wouldnt have to worry about lift pump upgrade either. ( Gauges never hurt anyone though hint hint, get gauges)

If you wanted to go a little cheaper you could just get some Bosch/RV 275's. Those are a stage 1 injector and are pretty good quality as well for a little less $.

JMO BTW

I don't have to worry about the dealer trying to get a sale.
The Service Manager is a friend of mine and he was doing the test with me standing next to him.

I had run a few cans of the injector cleaner you get from the auto parts store (Seafoam?) and it really didn't do much good.
It gradually started running worse over the next two months.

I took the truck in Monday to have it checked out. Originally we had talked about them running injector cleaner through it.
That was going to cost about $180 for that (at the dealer).

He suggested that I'd be better off just buy new injectors and explained what was involved with me installing them
I've know him for 20 years and he always taken care of me.

We talked about possible mods, exhaust and a controller (edge maybe) in the future.
