idle is too high

Hello everyone, I've been lurking for a while and just decided to join this great website and tap into the wealth of knowledge here.

I'm wondering why my truck idles at about 900 rpm and if there's a way to lower it to about 750. I hope this isn't a sign of impending VP44 failure but it won't surprise me if it is. Thanks guys!

I used to have a '93 W250 and an '02 2500 both of which idled at about 750 and it sounds about right to me at that rpm.
