I have a transmission problem that has happened a couple times. When I coast on a down hill, I have experienced the transmission not picking back up when I step on the accelerator. Just this morning it did it and I had to rev it to 3Gs before it would grab. After that it worked normal the rest of the way to work or about 50 miles. Has anyone had a similar problem? Fluid level is good, but has never been changed since new.

 

Change the fluid and filter! With over 100k on the stock filter you are way ready for a new one. When I got my truck the filter was clogged, and would basically quit pulling at low speeds sometimes because it is not getting any fluid pumprd through because of the clogged filter. This may or may not be your problem, but I would sure change it anyway.
